National Coalition for the Homeless Panel – Wednesday, April 23 at 7:30pm in KOBC 101

Have you ever wondered what you should to if you see a panhandler on the street?

Have you thought about how a homeless person spends his time?

Have you ever pondered how a person with no home stays warm at night?

If any of these questions have ever crossed your mind, then come to LaRose Digital Theater ( in Koury Business Center, room 101 ) on Wendesday, April 23 at 7:30pm to hear a panel of speakers who have been or are currently homeless come and speak about their experiences.

The speakers are part of the The National Coalition for the Homeless (NCH), founded in 1982, which is a
national network of people who are currently experiencing or who
have experienced homelessness, activists and advocates, community-based
and faith-based service providers, and others committed to a single
mission. That mission is to end homelessness. They are committed to creating the systemic and attitudinal changes
necessary to prevent and end homelessness. At the same time, they
work to meet the immediate needs of people who are currently experiencing
homelessness or who are at risk of doing so. They take as their first
principle of practice that people who are currently experiencing
homelessness or have formerly experienced homelessness must be actively
involved in all of their  work.
