Elondocs, the documentary film society in the School of Communications, had two films screen at the Gate City Women’s Film Festival: Left Ahead, produced by associate professor Brooke Barnett and students Sarah Cox and Ryan Howard, and Degrees of Change, produced by Cox.
Another elondocs production, Green Hair Grey Hair, wasaccepted at the D.C. Independent Film Festival, the DIY Festival in LosAngeles, Reel Women’s Film Festival and Carolina Film and Video Festival. Elonalumnae Katrina Tayler and Rachell Williams directed the film. Barnett servedas executive producer.
Barnett and Williams were also guests on the XM radioshow Broadminds. They talked about documentary film and about Green Hair GreyHair after it ran at the DC Independent Film Festival in March 2008.
