Brooke Barnett, associate professor in the School of Communications, recently published a study with political science professor Laura Roselle.
The paper, titled “Patriotism in the News: Rally Round the Flag,”ran in Electronic News in February.
Barnett and senior Taylor Kent also had a paper acceptedfor presentation to the news division of the annual meeting of the BroadcastEducation Association in Las Vegas. Their paper, titled “Framing Terrorism:British and U.S. Coverage of 7/7 and 9/11, was the first-place winner of thenews division competition.
In addition, Barnett will be a presenter at the TheReynolda Film Festival in Winston-Salem, N.C., this week.
