Sullivan, Powell Professor of Philosophy Emeritus, gave a keynote address “Stillness and Service in Three Contexts – the Moment, the Lifetime and this transition in World Historical Time” at the conference: Ideas for an Aging City: A Visioning Council for Hamburg. The conference was sponsored by the Körber Foundation of Hamburg, Germany and took place in that city from May 22-24, 2008.
