Elon University College Democrats invite you to join local Democrats on Thursday night to watch Barack Obama deliver his historic acceptance speech live in Denver. We’ll be gathering at Occasions Restaurant in downtown Burlington at 7:30 PM to enjoy some food and fun on this important night.
Special guests will include State Senator Tony Foriest, State Representative Alice Bordsen, and State House candidate Henry Vines. They will speak briefly about the historical significance of this great day, when Senator Obama will become his party’s nominee on the 45th anniversary of Dr. King’s “I Have a Dream” speech.
