Could you survive a month in poverty?
Come experience the Community Action Poverty Simulation (CAPS) hosted by North Carolina Campus Compact on September 9 in McKinnon Hall. Registration starts at 9:00 a.m. and the simulation begins at 9:30 a.m. It will conclude at noon.
The CAPS provides participants with the opportunity to assume the role of low-income family members living on a limited budget. The experience is divided into four 15-minute sessions, each of which represents one week in which you must provide for your family and maintain your home.
