National Hazing Prevention Week events through Oct. 9

This week, Oct. 6-10, is National Hazing Prevention Week. Hazing is any form of undue stress or punishment inflicted on individuals. Though it is typically associated with fraternities and sororities, hazing can occur in any organizational setting.

This week is dedicated to raising awareness to prevent hazing and avoid dangerous situations. Here are some of the events taking place this week:

Tonight, Oct. 7: Hazing prevention week speaker, Erle Morring, author of Hazed and Confused, 7:30 p.m. in Alumni Gym

Wednesday-Thursday, Oct. 8-9: Eat at Buffalo Wild Wings at Alamance Crossing Mall from 5-10 p.m. – 10% of sales go to HazingPrevention.org.

We hope to see you this week. All events are open to everyone.
