Nine faculty members nationwide were selected for this year’s program, including faculty from the University of Nebraska Omaha, Penn State, Auburn, and Bradley universities.

The purpose of the program is to increase gender, racial and ethnic diversity in administrative and other senior-level positions in journalism and mass communication education. The program is co-sponsored by the Association for Education in Journalism and Mass Communication and the Association of Schools of Journalism and Mass Communication.

Fellows will participate in Institute activities while continuing to work at their home campuses. Key components of the program include workshop sessions, a mentoring program and resource networking.

Funded by the Ethics and Excellence in Journalism Foundation, the program also involves four trips during the fellowship year.
