OutLaw, a group of lesbian/gay/bisexual/transgender and allied law students at the Elon University School of Law, will host a seminar on estate planning for LGBT families on Thursday, October 30, at 6 p.m. in Room 204 of the law school.

The Center for the Advancement of Teaching and Learning (CATL) is pleased to name four new CATL Scholars for 2009-2011.

Frank H. Wu, the inaugural Law and Humanities Lecturer for the Center for Law and Humanities, encouraged an audience in Whitley Auditorium on Oct. 28 to not be bystanders in a struggle for diversity and to develop a sense of community through dialog about race and difference.

The cable news outlet included comments from Elon senior Olivia Hubert-Allen, featured Oct. 29, 2008, as part of an online student digest on CNN.com.

The Phoenix soccer team beat Furman Oct. 28 to complete a 7-0-0 perfect Southern Conference season. This is Elon's first regular season men's soccer title in the conference. Elon will enter the SoCon tournament Nov. 8 as the top seed, and will host the quarterfinal game on campus.
