Nancy Luberoff, Hillel campus director at Elon, was interviewed for an Oct. 29, 2008, story in the online news site Inside Higher Ed, which covers issues and trends affecting colleges and universities.
The story by reporter Elizabeth Redden examines efforts by schools like Elon to recruit Jewish students and to offer programs and resources that make students feel welcomed on campus.
“The interesting thing about Elon University is that it has been movingfrom becoming a regional university to becoming a national university,” Luberoff said to reporter Elizabeth Redden.”And I think there’s a clear recognition among the Board of Trustees andthe leadership that if it’s going to be a national university, it needsto be able to attract and retain Jewish students and faculty.”
