Truitt Center Movie Night – “Paradise Now” on Nov. 13

The Truitt Center will be hosting a movie night with the film Paradise Now, a movie that follows two best friends living in Palestine who are called up to carry out a suicide-bombing in Israel. A call for peace amidst a chaotic world, this film offers us a glimpse into what it is like to be caught in the middle of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.

After the movie we will have a discussion about the issues raised by the film: what is the role of religion in this situation, where do we go from here, and what can we do to address these issues? Joining us for the discussion will be a recent college grad who just returned from Palestine where he spent 6 months working with an NGO in the West Bank.

Time: 7:30 p.m.
