NACMA, which works with collegiate athletic administrators from both the NCAA and NAIA levels, is exploring ways collegiate athletic administrators and faculty can work together to better serve constituents who are searching for the latest news, developing program and research opportunities, and trying to identify and access marketing administrators in the intercollegiate athletic industry.

Current collegiate administrators and NACMA members expressed enthusiasm for the project as they realized the potential for experiential opportunities that could develop for students.

“The future of collegiate sports marketing starts at the academic level,” said NACMA President Dennis Kalina. “Professors throughout the country are preparing the next generation of marketers who are going to create the next wave of innovative programs and initiatives for college sports. At NACMA, we realize the importance of this education & preparation and are working to build strong partnerships with professors.”

The panel will begin work to link interested faculty and students to current collegiate marketing trends to enhance collaborations with NACMA members.

“It is essential that as we  look to enhance and grow our business, that we harness the enthusiasm and talent of those individuals studyingunder some of the best and brightest minds in the industry,” said BethHunter, an NACMA Board Member and director of marketing at theUniversity of Notre Dame.
