Students taking the new art course “Time Arts” embarked on a project to construct soundscapes on the nature of place.
They set out to explore an emotional place and using processed audio field recordings wove together an interpretation of the subconscious. Using a shared database of sounds they collected over the course of three weeks, each student constructed a three-minute soundscape; all of them are unique interpretations of the theme.
The soundscapes will be installed in the foyer of the Center for the Arts during the last few days of finals week. Please take a respite from your busy schedules to spend some time listening to these interesting projects.
