Vikram Potdar, a teenage piano extraordinaire from Chapel Hill, will perform selections from composers such as Bach, Chopin and Liszt on Jan. 22 in a Whitley Auditorium concert co-sponsored by the Office of Cultural and Special Programs and the Department of Music.
Potdar, 17, has maintained straight-A’s at East Chapel Hill High School while studying for the past three years under the tutelage of eminent pianist Victor Recondo, pupil of the great Vladimir Horowitz.

Potdar performed his first solo piano concert in Burlington, N.C., in June 2008 and has since given several outstanding performances in Burlington and Durham. When not studying the piano, he is also fond of soccer, tennis and swimming.
