Jean Rattigan-Rohr, an assistant professor of education, was interviewed by News 14 Carolina on Feb. 19 regarding the benefits to North Carolina schools as a result of the economic stimulus package passed into law this month by Congress and President Barack Obama.
The economic stimulus contains $100 billion for schools, of which more than $550 million will be given to North Carolina. Rohr shared with News 14 anchor Tracey Early where that money will go, how it may help students – and why the public will be keeping a close watch on where the money is spent.
