Relocation Phase Rescheduled – Eligible Students Only

 To Students Eligible for Relocation:

Due to inclement weather on Monday, the Relocation Phase was temporarily cancelled. If you were planning on not squatting your current space, then please disregard this letter and proceed with the Housing Selection process in Phase Two.

Please see details below for new instructions.

1. Relocation will now be held on Wednesday, March 4, 2009 from 2pm to 5pm in Moseley 215.
2. Relocation is NOT first come, first served. There is no need to begin lining up early or feel pressure be there right at 1:00pm.
3. Only one group member needs to be present, as long as all signatures and datatel numbers are listed on the application.

Everyone wishing to relocate in your group must select one group member to fill out the relocation application. There may only be one application per group. The relocation process is a one for one room exchange. This means that you and your room/flat mates are eligible for one room/flat/apartment. For example, if you live in a double, you and your roommate cannot receive two different rooms. You will receive one comparable space on campus in which:

1. all residents in the current space can move to the new space
-OR-
2. a combination of residents in the current space can be relocated into one new space. Those “squatters” must pull in new students to fill in the remaining spaces. There must be at least four returning residents to squat a suite/flat.

Those current residents who do not choose to move to the new space should plan to go through Phase Two of the selection process.

Please bring this letter, as well as the completed Relocation application (attached) to the relocation process. Once you arrive, a residence life professional staff member will assist you in processing your application. Please remember to get the signatures of each group member on the application prior to your arrival. It is not necessary for all group members to be present.

If you have any questions regarding the above information, please do not hesitate to contact Residence Life at x7300 or you can visit the Residence Life website for detailed information regarding the process.
