Tony Weaver, assistant professor of leisure and sport management, has been appointed to the Alamance County Tourism Development Authority.
The Authority, composed of five members appointed by the Board of Commissioners, is responsible for furthering the development of travel, tourism, and conventions in the county, through state, national and international advertising and promotion.
Weaver will serve a two-year term on the Authority.
