The article, “Community Stakeholder Responses to Advocacy Advertising: Trust, Accountability, and the Persuasion Knowledge Model,” examined how community stakeholders in an industrial area responded to coal industry advocacy messages.

Janas Sinclair, assistant professor at the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill, coauthored the research.
