The Philip Carter Winery is hosting a Wine 101 and exclusive wine tasting for alumni on Saturday, September 12 from 2-4:30 p.m. The event will provide an education on wine making basics, the different types of wine and guided tours of the facilities of their winery plus a private wine tasting consisting of 10 different wines followed by a glass of your favorite. Gourmet Virginia cheeses and crackers will be provide during the tasting.
Motorcoach transportation will be provided from the Vienna Metro station. Alumni should check-in on the bus no later than 12:45 p.m. as the bus will leave at 1 p.m. from Vienna station, on the south side of I-66 near the “Kiss & Ride.” Alumni will return to the parking lot at 5:30 p.m.
Ticket prices are $40 per person for the Wine 101 plus bus transportation and $30 per person without bus transportation. Bus registration will close on September 1.
