Brooke Barnett, Jessica Gisclair and George Padgett, all associate professors in the School of Communications, received a $5,000 grant from the McCormick Foundation to build First Amendment awareness on campus this fall.
The Liberty Tree Campus Initiative grant encourages universities to develop thought-provoking programs and invite nationally renowned speakers to help raise awareness of fundamental First Amendment freedoms on America’s college campuses. Information about programming for Elon’s campus event will be available in early September.
