Joe West, a former star Elon quarterback, reached this milestone Thursday night when the Washington Nationals took on the Milwaukee Brewers. West was honored at the game with a plaque and souvenir ball.
West also has found success as a country music artist and designed and owns the patent for the chest protector worn by most major league umpires.
