Charity Johansson, professor of physical therapy, presented a paper titled "Disintegration to Integration: Aging as a Transformative Process" at the 8th Annual Transformative Learning Conference.
The conference, which took place in Bermuda, was held Nov. 18-21. The paper explored the transformative potential of aging in contrast to the traditional biomedical view of aging as an essentially deteriorative process.
