Michael Kingston, associate professor of biology and environmental studies, has published a research paper, "Growth and Motility of the Diatom Cylindrotheca closterium: Implications for Commercial Applications."
The paper appeared in the winter 2009 edition of the Journal of the North Carolina Academy of Science.
