Elon Law professor and associate dean for academic affairs Catherine Dunham recently served as a program director for the National Institute of Trial Advocacy (NITA) Southeast Deposition Program, held in Raleigh, North Carolina, March 3-5.
As a program director at the Deposition Program, Dunham, who also directs Elon Law’s Trial Practice Program, served with ten other NITA faculty members representing law firms, nonprofit organizations, and other law schools.
NITA’s Deposition Programs provide a unique questioning technique and structure for gathering information—in a thorough and organized manner—that give lawyers a thoughtful starting point from which to develop their own styles.
At Elon, Dunham teaches Civil Procedure, Appellate Advocacy, Pre-trial Litigation and other courses in the Trial Practice Program. Dunham also serves on the faculty of the National Institute for Trial Advocacy and teaches in other regional and national advocacy programs.
