Jonathan Citty ’10, Duke Hutchings accepted to international security conference

The 2010 World Congress in Computer Science, Computer Engineering and Applied Computing International Conference on Security and Management has accepted for presentation the co-authored work of Elon senior Jonathan Citty and Duke Hutchings, assistant professor of computing sciences, titled "Design & Evaluation of an Image-based Authentication System for Small Touch-screens."

Hutchings will present the work in Las Vegas in July. Citty begins his work as a technical analyst with Credit Suisse in Research Triangle Park, N.C., upon graduation in May. The paper is the result of a multi-year Elon College Fellows undergraduate research project in which Citty built and designed a graphical PIN-style authentication system for mobile devices such as smart phones. Citty will also present this work during SURF, Elon’s Spring Undergraduate Research Forum.
