Ken Calhoun’s film selected for 360 | 365 George Eastman House Film Festival

"Family 2.0," a short documentary by School of Communications assistant professor Ken Calhoun, will be screened at this year's 360 | 365 George Eastman House Film Festival.

Ken Calhoun

The film, which Calhoun shot last year, documents his 13-year-old daughter’s online business efforts to design, make and sell babies in the virtual world of Teen Second Life. It examines this new parental terrain with a questioning eye and reveals the complexities of a family separated by distance, yet connected by the latest online technologies.

The 360 |365 George Eastman House Film Festival takes place May 5-10 at the “birthplace of motion picture film” in Rochester, New York.
