Members of the Elon Army and Air Force ROTC’s elite Scabbard and Blade Society participated in a rigorous urban training regimen on May 11. With the support of the Burlington Police Department SWAT Team, Elon Cadets were exposed to the conduct of urban missions such as building entry, door breaching and room clearance. This law enforcement training is very similar to urban operations being conducted by American Armed Forces in the War on Terror, and provides Cadets with key tactical skills that they will need as they begin their military careers.
