Brooke Barnett, an associate professor in the School of Communications, and Hannah Williams '10, a journalism and professional writing major and Lumen Scholar, had a column published in the July 11 Greensboro News and Record.
Barnett and Williams penned a piece titled “‘Terrorist’ beyond shadow of a doubt” about the way media use the word “terrorist.” The piece is not currently posted online.
Barnett also served as the faculty mentor to Williams’ Lumen Scholar study about media coverage of the terrorist attacks in Mumbai.
