Three students in Elon University's School of Communications traveled to Washington, D.C., Oct. 30 to collect photos, video and interviews from Jon Stewart and Stephen Colbert's Rally to Restore Sanity.
The students, seniors Julie Halm, Neel Arora and Tyler West, compiled materials that other members of their Multimedia Journalism class will use to create a multimedia package. The event, sponsored by The Daily Show with Jon Stewart and The Colbert Report, drew a crowd from around the country that packed more than half of the National Mall.
The students and Communications associate professor Amanda Sturgill received a grant from Elon’s Center for the Advancement of Teaching and Learning to support the trip.
