Elon physical therapy alumna Blake Russell was featured in the Oct. 31 edition of The New York Times in a story about balancing motherhood with distance running.
Russell was a marathon runner in the 2008 Olympics in Beijing and graduated from Elon’s physical therapy program in 2001.
Russell was the sole American to complete the women’s marathon in Beijing. Like many elite athletes, Russell has battled injuries and credits her physical therapy education for helping her troubleshoot those issues.
