Amy M. Johnson, assistant professor of history and Minority Post-Doctoral Fellow, presented at the annual African Studies Association conference held in San Francisco, Calif.
Her presentation was titled “‘New Negroes’: The Changing Nature of Slavery and Slave Trading on the Gold Coast and its Impact on Slave Rebelliousness in Jamaica.”
