David Levine announces July-August schedule for Hearsay Culture radio show

Elon Law professor David Levine will feature several nationally acclaimed scholars on his radio show and podcast Hearsay Culture this summer, including University of Wisconsin Law School professor Shubha Ghosh, Laura DeNardis, Executive Director of the Information Society Project at Yale Law School, and law professors Eduardo Penalver of Cornell Law and Sonia Katyal of Fordham Law discussing their recent book, Property Outlaws.

Selected as one of the top five podcasts in the American Bar Association’s Blawg 100 of 2008, Hearsay Culture focuses on technology and intellectual property law issues of interest to the legal community and to broader public audiences. The radio program airs on KZSU-FM, Stanford University, with programs available for download at www.hearsayculture.com.

Internationally renowned scholar Manuel Castells, University Professor and Wallis Annenberg Chair in Communication Technology and Society at the University of Southern California, recently said of Hearsay Culture, that it is an, “excellent show that is part of this new communications environment in which people can be offered a way to reflect rather than to react.”

Levine joined the faculty of Elon University School of Law in the fall of 2009. He is a fellow at the Center for Internet and Society at Stanford Law School. Levine focuses his scholarship on the operation of intellectual property law at the intersection of technology and public life and intellectual property law’s impact on public transparency.
