‘North Carolina’s WWII Experience’ Screening Feb. 21

View the screening of “North Carolina’s WWII Experience,” a UNC-TV original documentary production, at 6 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 21 in McEwen 011.

Through remarkable archival film and photographs, and revealing personal interviews, this UNC-TV original documentary production brings North Carolina’s World War II experience to life.

“This was the most complicated story I’ve ever tried to tell, said “North Carolina’s WWII Experience,” said director Scott Davis. “We not only describe how North Carolinians experienced the war on the home front, we also relate the combat stories of ten Tar Heel veterans who served in Europe and the Pacific.”

The screening will be followed by a Q&A with Davis.

This documentary has a special connection with the university. Former Chair of the School of Communications Advisory Board and Elon Medallion recipient, Don Bolden, was interviewed for the film, and he recounts his experiences as a child in Burlington, N.C., during the war.

The screening is being sponsored by elondocs.
