Hal Walker, department chair of Sport and Event Management, was recently invited to serve as a five-year external reviewer for Gardner-Webb University in Boiling Springs, N.C., for the Department of Physical Education, Wellness and Sport Studies.
Gardner-Webb offers undergraduate programs in Athletic Training, Health/Wellness, Physical Education/Health Education (with Teacher Licensure) and Sport Management.
A Master of Arts degree in Sport Science and Pedagogy is also offered at the graduate level. Walker’s visit and report provided assistance for their growing programs and a possible addition of a School of Allied Health.
