Associate professor of music Jon Metzger has received his 25th consecutive Plus Award from the American Society of Composers, Authors, and Publishers in recognition of his performances and the usage of his compositions over the past year.
Cited among others in this most recent annual review was Metzger’s work on John Brown’s Jazz Orchestra recording project; his performances of American music in Ankara and Izmir, Turkey; and his new four-movement composition for percussion sextet and narrator The Absence of Color.
