Outlaw hosts Rebecca Perry for seminar on same sex partnership agreements

On March 8, the Elon Law student organization, Outlaw, held a seminar titled "The Importance of Same Sex Partnership Agreements in Light of Boseman." Family law attorney Rebecca Perry discussed Boseman v. Jarrell, a recent North Carolina case that decided whether an adoption decree granting the non-parent in a same sex relationship parental rights was valid after the relationship dissolved.

The featured guest at Elon Law's March 10 reception with the legal community was the Honorable V. Stuart Couch, appointed by U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder in October 2010 to serve as an Immigration Judge in the Charlotte Immigration Court.

Elon women win big in first round game of WBI tournament

The Phoenix women’s basketball team built an early double-digit lead and never looked back on March 17, as the third-seeded Phoenix registered a 103-72 victory over the sixth-seeded USC Upstate Spartans in the first round of the Women’s Basketball Invitational. The Phoenix moves on to the second round of the WBI to face second-seeded UAB on Sunday at 1 p.m. at Alumni Gym.
