April is Sexual Assault Awareness Month

SPARKS Peer Education is hosting several events this April to commemorate Sexual Assault Awareness Month:

Couples Chemistry:
Hear from a panel of diverse Elon couples to find out how they keep their relationships fun, new, safe and healthy! In Irazu on Tuesday, April 5, at 7 p.m.

The Clothesline Project:
Decorate t-shirts showing your opinions on sexual assault, drop them off in the box outside Koury 154, and they will be anonymously displayed on a clothesline on West Lawn for the week of April 11-17 to bring awareness to the effects of sexual assault. If you want a t-shirt to decorate, email us at elonu.sparks@gmail.com

Take Back the Night:
Create a banner about sexual assault awareness with your group of friends or organization on Monday, April 18, at 5 p.m. in McCoy Commons 212.

Then, on Wednesday, April 20, at 7 p.m., join us on an empowering march through campus to protest sexual assault. The march will begin at the amphitheater in the Academic Pavilion and will end in Whitley auditorium, where victims of sexual assault can anonymously share their stories.

Take Back the Night is co-sponsored by EFFECT and Alpha Chi Omega and will feature a performance by Sweet Signatures.
