Autism Speaks U Elon will be hosting our first educational discussion on Tuesday, May 3, at 4:30 p.m. in the Commuter Lounge (Moseley, First Floor). Our group was founded to advocate and provide awareness for those affected by Autism. Through this panel discussion, we want to highlight the coordinating efforts between the educational, medical, entrepreneurial, and support networks surrounding those with Autism and neurological disorders. Our featured speakers are:

  • Angie Hong – Music Therapist and co-founder of the Abilitations Children Therapy & Wellness Center
  • Buck Cochran – founder of Peacehaven Community Farm, an innovative living environment
  • April Brantley – Alamance Burlington School System (ABSS) Program Specialist for Exceptional Children

Each panelist will have an opportunity to shed light on the question, “What is it like to have autism?” They will also discuss their experience and life work to help those affected by autism. From research to entrepreneurship, each person has a unique perspective to offer. Plan for an hour discussion…question and answer time will be available!
