The Love School of Business is establishing Elon’s new chapter of Sigma Iota Epsilon (SIE), the premiere fraternal organization in management in the U.S.
SIE is both an honorary and professional fraternity. Individuals elected to membership must have demonstrated superior scholarship in the classroom. As a fraternity, chapters across the country conduct numerous programs aimed at bridging the gap between management theory and management practices.
“The new Elon SIE chapter will utilize students’ achievements and spread the importance of the management major throughout the campus and community,” said Haya Ajjan, faculty advisor and assistant professor of management information systems.
Elon’s SIE chapter initiation ceremony will take place Thursday, November 10 from 6:00-8:00p.m. in LaRose Digital Theatre. Art Rasher from the SIE National Executive Board will present the SIE charter and Jack Lindley ’56, CEO of Industrial Paper Products, Inc., will give the keynote address. A reception will conclude the ceremony.
