Fannie Battle Day Home for Children is the second oldest childcare center in the United States. Their mission is to continue the tradition established n 1891 by their founder, Miss Fannie Battle: to provide affordably high-quality child care, for at-risk children in a nurturing environment while empowering families to reach their potential.

In 1916, the Fannie Battle Day Home for Children was in danger of closing. On Christmas Eve, a group of volunteers went caroling to raise money in hopes of helping the children’s home. To this day, Fannie Battle Caroling Parties have become a holiday tradition in the greater Nashville community. Each year families, neighbors, churches, schools, companies, and civic groups carol door-to-door throughout greater Nashville collecting money for Fannie Battle Day Home for Children. We hope you will join us in this effort.

Fido is lcoated at 1812 21st Ave. South in Hillsboro Village.
