The Rev. William Walker ’93 named vice president at Methodist University

Methodist University has promoted The Rev. William Walker '93 to vice president for student development and dean of students following a national search.

Walker previously served as senior associate dean of students at Methodist, located in Fayetteville, N.C. A noteworthy student and exemplary leader during his undergraduate days, Walker was the first black student named president of the Elon Student Union Board in 1991 and is enshrined in Elon’s African-American Wall of Fame. He also becomes the first African-American to serve Methodist as vice president for student development.
