The Office of Career Services, in the newly renovated Student Professional Development Center, is launching a pilot program for summer 2012 designed for graduates headed to Los Angeles and New York City to begin their careers.

The 9-week program, called bridges, provides affordable housing with a group of Elon graduates and one-on-one mentoring with a career adviser to help students land in the jobs they desire, negotiate their first contracts effectively and identify professional mentors in the city.

An on-site career adviser will be available over the 9-weeks to assist with the job and internship search, host activities to help students acclimate to the city and become part of their new community.

bridges is open to all majors and recent graduates of Elon’s. Applications are due Thursday, March 15, 2012, and can be found at https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/bridgeslanyc

Information sessions are being held February 10th at 4pm in McEwen TV Studio B or February 20th at 5pm in Moseley 165 in the new Student Professional Development Center. For more information, check out http://www.elon.edu/e-web/career_services/bridges.xhtml or email bridges@elon.edu.
