Bloch-Schulman’s essay wins honorable mention in 2012 Lenssen Prize

The American Association of Philosophy Teachers has selected "When the 'Best Hope' Is Not So Hopeful, What Then? Democratic Thinking, Democratic Pedagogies, and Higher Education," Journal of Speculative Thought, 24:4 by Stephen Bloch-Schulman, associate professor of philosophy, as an honorable mention for the 2012 Lenssen Prize.

The Lenssen Prize is awarded in memory of Mark Lenssen (for more information see: http://philosophyteachers.org/awards.shtml). The 2012 prize recognizes the best research article regarding teaching and learning in philosophy published in 2010 or 2011, and only three papers out of approximately 180 articles are designated as honorable mention.
