Todd Coleman, associate professor of music and coordinator of music technology, has been invited to adjudicate the Raleigh Piano Teachers Association annual Young Artist Auditions Composition Competition which takes place March 4 at Meredith College.
This is Coleman’s second year judging the RPTA competition. Students ranging from elementary school through high school submit compositions for piano to be grouped in categories based on level of experience and musical complexity, then ranked within each category and given constructive feedback about their work. The winners of each category will have their work premiered at an Honors Recital.
