Elon's Senior Staff toured the construction site of The Station at Mill Point on May 1, getting a sneak peek at the inside of one of the houses.
The first floor of one building at The Station has been decorated to help next year’s residents get an idea of the layout of their new homes. This new village-style residential area on Williamson Avenue is designed for juniors and seniors and will open in fall 2012. The two-story residences will have two to four apartment units per building, with each unit featuring single rooms for greater privacy.
The 12.5-acre site will have architecture on a scale designed to integrate well with the Town of Elon and will include amenities to promote bonding among classmates, including recreational and fitness facilities, an amphitheatre, gardens and other outdoor gathering places.
