Elon University’s sales program in the Martha and Spencer Love School of Business has been named a “Top University Sales Program” for a second year in a row by the Sales Education Foundation, a nonprofit established to promote the profession of sales through colleges and universities with verified sales education curricula.

Elon’s sales program, anchored by the Chandler Family Professional Sales Center, was selected based on its strong sales curriculum, university recognition and experiential learning component. The center focuses on promoting professional selling, developing students for sales careers, and conducting research that advances the field of sales and sales management.

“It is an honor to receive continued recognition as a Top Sales Program from SEF,” said Earl Honeycutt, outgoing director of the Chandler Family Center. “From my perspective, this award is an affirmation that the Chandler Family Professional Sales Center is on-track providing Elon University students with cutting-edge sales knowledge, linked with successful practical experience gained at national sales competitions. We are meeting our goal of ensuring our students are well educated so they succeed in well-paying entry level positions and advancing to higher levels of responsibility at national and international firms.”

The center was established in 2008 by an endowment gift from Elon Trustee Thomas E. Chandler, owner of Chandler Concrete Company, and his family. It is a full member of the University Sales Center Alliance. The Love School of Business is accredited by AACSB International-The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business.

In addition to the Chandler Family Center, the school includes the Doherty Center for Entrepreneurial Leadership, the Porter Family Professional Development Center, the William Garrard Reed Finance Center, the Business Fellows program, an executive education program, and the departments of accounting, economics, finance, management, and marketing and entrepreneurship.

Bloomberg Businessweek has ranked the school’s undergraduate program #43 out of 124 schools identified as the best undergraduate business programs and the part-time Elon MBA program #1 in the nation.
