Four faculty members join the LSB

The Martha and Spencer Love School of Business welcomes four new faculty members during the 2012-13 academic year.

New full-time faculty members:

Tim Norvell, assistant professor of marketing, received his B.S. from the University of Central Florida and his M.M.R. and Ph.D. from the University of Georgia. Before coming to Elon, he taught at the University of Georgia and was formerly the executive director of marketing research at Applebee’s International. His research interests include: customer lifetime value, cumulative service experiences, service recovery, satisfaction and loyalty; dynamic market structure and market evolution; and brand portfolio consumption, cumulative brand experiences, and category evolution.

• Reilly White, instructor in finance, received a B.S. from the University of Massachusetts-Dartmouth and a Ph.D. (Candidate) from the University of Connecticut. White previously taught at the University of Connecticut and was formerly a financial analyst at Sovereign Bank with a research interest of inside debt.

• Laura Zavelson, instructor in entrepreneurship, received her A.B. from Duke University and her M.B.A. from the University of Florida. Zavelson is currently the principal at ZConsulting and formerly the CEO of Calliope, LLC.

New adjunct faculty member:

Julie Swanner, instructor in entrepreneurship, received a B.A. from Meredith College and an M.B.A from Elon University. She is currently owner and manager of Creekside Animal Clinic, PA and is an independent marketing consultant.
