Access to Blackboard ends October 17, 2012

As part of the transition from Blackboard to Moodle, access to Blackboard courses and organizations will end on October 17, 2012.

Elon University began making the switch from Blackboard to Moodle in the fall of 2010, with the full conversion on June 1, 2012. Since that time, Blackboard has remained accessible for faculty and staff to archive/export their courses and organizations. Be aware that on October 17th, Blackboard will no longer be accessible, and your course and organizational content will be gone forever. Please make sure you archive or export any content now you wish to keep prior to October 17th.

What this means for all Blackboard users:

  • Access to all existing Blackboard courses and organizations ends on October 17, 2012
  • Users must archive or export their Blackboard content before October 17, should they wish to use the content in the future (archive/export help can be found at http://wiki.elon.edu/x/7YR1AQ)
  • Storage of archived/exported files are the responsibility of the user and should be kept in a safe place

Visit the Technology Wiki to learn more about archiving/exporting your Blackboard courses and organizations, and moving your content to Moodle. Contact the Technology Help Desk at 278-5200, if you have questions or experience problems archiving or exporting your content.
