College Chapel – Bring your pets for the Blessing of the Animals on Oct. 11

This year speakers from among staff, faculty, students and guests are invited to reflect on individuals they would lift up as having made a difference in their own lives and/or in the larger community and world.

This week’s Chapel will be the Blessing of the Animals with Father Gerry Waterman, Catholic Campus Minister.  All students, staff and faculty are encouraged to bring either their pet or a photo of their pet to be blessed by Father Gerry.

Music will be provided by LE Alexander ’14 and Michelle Warshany ’14.

For those new to Elon or who have never attended Chapel, we seek to create a time and space to take a break from the busyness of our hectic schedules and to refresh the spirit. Our chapel theme for this year is “Words We Live By.”

Chapel is not a “worship service,” rather a time of reflection offered by a member of the Elon community or a guest speaker.  Make plans to take a break for a few minutes each Thursday in Whitley Auditorium for inspiration presentations complimented by live music offered by talented student & faculty musicians.

Refreshments and conversation conclude our time each week.  All are welcome!

Come take a break from the daily grind at College Chapel!
