Matthew Valle, Kevin O’Mara publish article in Journal of Executive Education

An article written by Matthew Valle and Kevin O'Mara, professors of management in the Martha and Spencer Love School of Business, has been published in Volume 11, Issue 1 (2012) of the Journal of Executive Education.

The article, “Targeted Instruction for Executive Education: Classifying Participants to Enhance Program Delivery,” addresses the assessment of executive education participant readiness levels prior to program development and execution so that course instruction can be customized to better meet participant needs. The article develops a typology of participant types and suggests strategies for providing an appropriate blend of instructor-centered and participant-centered course material for each participant type. This blended view of executive education allows for targeted knowledge and skill development for executive education participants within different learning environments and using different tools and methods of instruction.
